This past weekend we were busy as always and we had a lot of fun running around with the kids and enjoying one of the last few weekends as a family of 4!
Friday night we had Chase's tball game and a little drama with me getting hit by a foul ball (as explained in previous post). It is always so fun to watch the kids play tball and the weather is sooo beautiful at night here so it is a great way to spend a Friday night. Only 2 more games, I will be sad when it is over :(
Saturday morning we watched our friends, Steve and Julie's, youngest daughter Addy while Julie coached Chandler's soccer game. She was juggling all 3 kids while Steve was out of town so we thought we would help a sister out :) We only had her for about 2 hours and I was dying the whole time because the boys were soooooo sweet to her! Chase was asleep the first hour so it was just Brady playing with her. Brady was loving her and he literally dug through out entire toy basket and brought her toys one by one and said "Here you go baby!", "You want this Addy?" It was adorable and he was so gentle with her.
The second hour Chase came down and was playing with her and he was just as sweet. He was loving how little she is and kept trying to give her toys and play with her as well. I know it was only 2 hours but I am hoping this is how the next few months will go in our house with a new baby sister :)
Later on Saturday we headed to Chase's first soccer game. He did sooo awesome and the kids are so good this year and play so well together. I think Chase scored 5 goals and he was excited to tell us about it! After the game we headed down to Castle Rock, made a stop at the outlets, and then made it to Kyler's Championship baseball game. Unfortunately, Kyler's team lost but we still had a great time watching him play. We headed home afterwards and made it back about 6pm. It was a fun, outdoor day ended by a nice home cooked dinner and relaxing at home.
Sunday Craig finally got to go play golf for Father's Day with Don, Brad and his Dad. While they went to play golf I had some good Mommy/Son time. We started at Monkey Bizness playing, painting and doing arts and crafts. Next we rode the train around the mall and then we ended by the boys letting loose in the water fountains. We didn't have any swimsuits since playing in the water was not part of our plan, but hey...when in Rome! The boys wanted to play so they stripped down to their shorts and went for it!! They had a ball and were dying hysterically soaking themselves. We walked to our car soaking wet, stripped down, changed Brady's diaper and I had a kid in his underpants and a kid in his diaper all the way home! Haha! Gotta seize life's moments, even when you aren't prepared :)
Train Ride - Brady looks silly but I just cannot get a pic of this kid...he moves toooo fast!!
Sunday afternoon we all met up at Craig's parents for dinner after the guys were done with golf. We had an amazing and relaxing night eating dinner and watching the kids play baseball, frisbee and just running around out back all night.
Craig's Dad opening a few Father's Day gifts!
The night ended perfectly at home with a HUGE thunder and lightning storm! It was pouring rain and the lightning and thunder was sooo close! We grabbed the boys and all sat on the front porch enjoying the storm.
My boys are tiring and can certainly push my buttons, but I love weekends spending so much good quality time together!
