Friday Night Chex Mix

One of our favorite family traditions?
Homemade Chex Mix!

Craig grew up doing this and it has definitely become a Hoelting tradition since we got married.  We always wait until we get a COLD night in the fall and then we go to work.

After having a few snow storms last week we decided Friday night was Chex Mix night.  The boys had a great time measuring ingredients and mixing it all together (and of course tasting!)

Please don't mind my kids ghetto outfits....lol.  They both got super messy at daycare and I forgot extra clothes so Chase is in a shirt like 2 sizes too small and Brady is in a shirt 2 sizes too big - awesome! :)

Hard at work mixing up yummy ingredients!

We made 3 batches this time - 1 extra spicy and 2 regular

There is nothing better than smelling Chex Mix baking while you play with your kiddos - what a fun night!

ALSO...
Have to add a few pictures from earlier in the night before we started our Chex Mix.  On our way home from daycare Chase checked the mail and we had a special Halloween package from Aunt Christine, Uncle Jim & Ben!  Yay - so fun and thoughtful!

Again, please ignore the horrible outfits - lol - I think I may need to donate some clothes
to our daycare so they have better "extras" :)

Next, Chase was begging us to be able to go out and shovel snow.  There wasn't too much left but he had fun shoveling the front lawn nontheless!
