On Sunday morning we decided to head to Boo at the Zoo to do some trick-or-treating and meet up with some friends. It was a COLD morning but we pulled up to the zoo right when it opened, at 9am, and it was already packed!! We got so lucky though and they opened one row of parking literally right in front right as we pulled in - sweet!!
We had about an hour until our friends were getting there so we enjoyed walking around the zoo, seeing the animals and trick-or-treating at stations along the way. Craig & I were worried that the animals would all be hiding because of the cold but they were super active! The lions were even roaring!! I've never heard that before, usually they are just sleeping :)
If you have never done Boo at the Zoo, basically different sponsers set up pop up tents all over the zoo and they hand out candy to the kids and usually have some sort of information or little giveaway for the parents too! It is a cute idea and a very fun setting for Halloween.
Brady loved the giraffes!
As we were walking through the zoo Chase kept making sure Brady was going the right way and wasn't getting lost in the crowd - it was so cute! I was walking behind them and he kept putting his arm around him to keep him moving in the right direction - lol :)
Checking out the brand new elephant exhibit!
Right after the elephants we met up with the Weslings, Strayers and some of Steve & Julie's friends as well. We all trick-or-treated together for a bit but then we had to get ready to go to get Brady a nap.
One station had a Wully Mammoth and all the kids were going up to meet him.
Brady wasn't so sure...
On our way out we ended our zoo trip with a ride on the train! When the train came to a stop Brady said "That was fun!"
Boo at the Zoo is a great activity but I would advise to get there early!! The first few hours we were there were awesome but by the time we left it was WAY too crowded...early bird gets the worm!!
