1st Grade!

On August 20th Chase started 1st Grade!

Chase absolutely loves school and we had an amazing Kindergarten experience so we are hoping for the same in 1st grade.  As fun as summer was, Chase was definitely excited to start school and we were ready to get back into more of a routine again.

Good luck Chasers - you are going to do awesome!

After school on the first day we went to frozen yogurt with some of our neighbors to celebrate the start to a great year!

UPDATE - aka brag time (Oct 28, 2014):
* Chase is doing absolutely amazing in school and gets nothing but stellar reviews from his teacher and his specials teachers (art, music, PE, library, computers and his after school Kidzone teachers)  I even received an email from his art teacher saying how awesome he is and I have a voicemail saved from his teacher telling me he was the first kid to receive "RED" in their class.  They have a color behavior system and every day they come home with their monthly calendar colored in with their behavior color from that day.  Red is the best you can do and Chase was the first kid in class to earn it!  She told me what an amazing kid and student he is, always helpful and respectful and a joy to have in class.  Talk about your heart exploding!  I was so glad it went to voicemail because I got to play it that night for Chase and watch his smile light up the room :)

* Chase loves doing homework and wants to do all of his weekly homework the night he gets it - lol! He always does his math homework pages at Kidzone on his own and it is always done perfectly.

* My favorite story so far is probably when a friend of mine told me she was volunteering one day and happened to be in Chase's class a little bit.  She said there is a little girl in his class with a learning disability and Chase and another boy were sitting with her, asking her questions to help her with her work and taking care of her.  So proud of his kind heart!

* So grateful to have a kiddo that loves school so much - he is spoiling us ;)  We'll see if Brady and Hads can follow in his footsteps :)
