Christmas Tree Decorating

We decorated our tree this year in 2 parts...we put the tree up with the lights on Sunday morning of Thanksgiving weekend with all the kiddos and then we actually put the ornaments on that night after Hadley went to bed.

The kids were in the best mood and we had so much fun finishing up our Christmas decorating on Sunday!  They were super helpers with the tree and loved seeing it all lit up!

This is my life...no clue what they were doing but they thought they were hilarious :)  Brothers!

"Ok Mom, we will do a good one"

Hadley girl was loving the lights on the tree

Checking out the lights from under the tree

After we were done, I was in the kitchen and Brady ran up to me and said, "Mom, Mom get your camera and come here and take a picture of me!"  So I followed him and this happened!  I was dying - for a kid that usually hates pictures this had me almost in tears laughing so hard.  This will forever be one of my fav pics of him now :)

Hadley and Chase playing with the felt Christmas tree I made a few years ago during my Pinterest obsession days.  She loves it!

After we got the tree up we went to work on our Gingerbread train.  Craig had the tough part of getting the train together and then the kids got to put the candy on!

Again, no idea what was so funny but I was loving it...

Brady was over the train pretty quick but Chase was hard at work

Later that night, they changed into their Christmas jammies to get ready to decorate the tree.
Again, welcome to our life....

Decorating the tree is always one of my favorite nights.
We put Christmas music on and the kids have hot chocolate and Craig & I drink eggnog.  Every ornament we own is from somewhere we have traveled, was given to us by our parents, has a special meaning (Baby's 1st Christmas, 1st year in our house, our wedding, etc) or was made by the kids.  It is so fun to walk down memory lane of every trip we have gone on and every milestone we have passed in life so far.
(Only 1 ornament was broken this year and it just happened to be a random Pier 1 one that was the last one with no meaning, phew!)

Chase messing around dancing on a ladder, lol!

Hadley hanging up her new ornament from Grandma & Papa T the next night!

Ready to enjoy many December nights enjoying our beautiful tree!
