Mt. Democrat

14ers are a way of life in Colorado and if you live here, you have to climb at least one in your lifetime! Craig & I had been wanting to do one and found out many of our friends felt the same way. Thankfully, Adam got the entire adventure planned and we got a chance to hike up to 14,000 feet!

This trip we hiked Mt Democrat, which started at about 12,000 feet and was a 2,000 foot climb in 2 miles (think straight up!) It was tough and rocky but such an accomplishment and a gorgeous view at the top! One discovery we had was Craig's fear of heights. I never knew he had such a fear of heights and, although he was freaked and feeling sick, he persevered and made it to the top. So proud of him. So proud of me. So proud of all my amazing friends who shared in this awesome adventure together!
