Since our gardening plans got botched on Mother's Day with the snow, we were finally able to plant all of our flowers and veggies in our garden and around our yard the next weekend! This is one of my favorite times of year...everything looks so pretty, so new and so full of color and life!
We took all 3 kids to Home Depot and despite Brady throwing up in the bathroom, it was a relatively painless trip (amazing how your perspective changes with 3 kids!)
Chase working hard in the garden. This year we went with zucchini, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, regular tomatoes, jalapeno's, bell peppers, sugar snap peas, basil, mint and strawberries. They are already growing really well!
Flowers all around the yard...
Brady getting in on the action! We have one corner of our yard behind them that has a ton of perennials and a bunch of beautiful plants and flowers bloom without any work - it is amazing!
We decided to plant one flower each in their wheelbarrow that the boys could take care of themselves. They each picked out their own flower from Home Depot, they helped plant it and they over water it all of the time :) They were really proud of themselves.
My turn to help with our big porch vases.
We always fill them with wave petunias, they are so beautiful, grow perfectly and last all summer long! I LOVE having a front porch to sit on and relax and in our next house a good front porch is a must have!
Gardening is hard work :)
Excited to watch everything grow!
