A Belated Welcome....

I CANNOT even believe that I still have not done a post about my new sweet nephew being born or my visit out to CA to meet him in Feb!!!

My nephew, Oliver Thomas Frisbee, was born on Jan 8th and is such a blessing in all our lives!!  I was sooo sad that I couldn't be there when my sister had him but I knew I wanted to get out to meet and hold him as soon as I could!  Hadley and I were able to fly out the first week in Feb and spend some days just loving on him.  It was a little tough just because Hadley was clingy to me and picked up a bug on the flight out but I got as much Oliver time as I could and my favorite time was the hour he would sleep on my chest on the couch after Hads went to sleep!

My sister did a great blog post on our visit so as a form of flattery (and laziness) I am completely ripping it off and pasting it here :)

Thanks for letting us visit Christine, such a special time!

My sister was dying to see little Oliver while he was still a newborn and then just happened to have a few days when she had Hadley at home because Craig's parents were out of town (they usually watch her during the day), so they decided to fly out and stay with us during that time! We were super excited to have the girls here, especially Ben - he gave Aunt Lori the most excited greeting and biggest hug when he got home from school the first day - it was so cute. And something Jim and I don't even get! :)

They were here for 3 short days and we didn't really "do" much besides hang out, play, run a couple of errands, catch up, have Grandma and Papa over a couple of times, and Lori made a few phone calls for work.  But that was the point - just to spend a few days loving on Oliver and Hadley, since we don't get to do that as often as we would like with them in Colorado.  Lori especially cherished her time each evening once Hadley had gone to sleep and she would have Oliver lay on her chest and fall asleep for a good hour.  She was in heaven and Olive slept great those nights so he obviously loved it too!

It was a quick trip and makes me sad that we live so far away now and can't see each other all of the time, but I was so happy they were able to come meet Oliver and hang out for a few days.  I don't know if Hadley was such a fan of not being the only baby Momma was holding! LOL.  Love you guys and so glad you came!
