6 Months Old!

Our sweet Haddy-cakes...6 months old on January 10th!

Weight: 13lbs 5oz - 5th to 10th percentile

Height:  25 1/4 in. - 25th percentile

Head:   16 5/8 in - 50th percentile

You continue to be the happiest baby and smile at everyone and everything around you!  Your smiles are huge, open mouthed and incredibly contagious :)  You are a wiggle worm!!!  It is hard to hold you because you just want to move and see what is going on around you.  You like to be held out so you can see what is happening at all times.  You are a grabber and my hair and my necklaces are among your favorites!  You have a tight grip and even managed to break my necklace with all your names on it - lol!  You are a FAST crawler now!  You still do an army crawl and you pull your body along, as opposed to being up on your knees, but man are you fast!  You love to play on your mat from Grandma and Papa and you crawl around and play with toys we put down for you.  One of your favorite things is to crawl around and get all the toys your brothers leave out - mostly nerf guns and helicopters and cars :)  We have to be super careful about keeping Lego's and nerf bullets out of your vicinity!!  You like your exersaucer for periods of time but 20 minutes is about a max for you.  You love phones as all kids do - what is the deal with that anyway?!  You still think your brothers are hilarious when they are wild and you do huge belly laughs when they play with you.  Everything goes in your mouth and you love to jump in place!

EATING:

You still continue to have no issue going back and forth from bottle to nursing, which is nice for me to have the option.  The only time I really nurse anymore though is first thing in the morning because I go all night without pumping so I feel like I actually have enough to satisfy you. My milk supply is still struggling despite my best efforts but I am still hanging on and you are able to drink 3 4oz bottles of breastmilk a day.  You drink a total of either 7-8 4 oz bottles a day.  You drink 1-2 bottles throughout the night....still an issue for us and we are working to at least get down to 1 a night.

We started rice cereal this month and you LOVE it!  You were definitely ready to eat and you scarf down a bowl of thick rice cereal at dinnertime each night!  Spoons have quickly become one of your favorite toys :)

SLEEPING:

You sleep in your crib swaddled in your woombie still every night.  Sleep is still our biggest challenge with you and you have good nights and you have tougher nights.  Typically you go to sleep around 7:30-8pm and then it is a crap shoot....  You have been waking up A LOT lately and we will go in and put your paci back in and then you go back to sleep for an hour or 2 and then it happens again.  There are times when you cry harder and we know you are hungry so we still feed you at night.  You are such a tiny peanut and we have been dealing with your first tooth popping out so we haven't made it through the night without a feeding yet.

Bathtime is still a huge favorite of yours!  We take a bath every other night...
