A few weekends ago Craig and I decided to have a one on one day with the boys. We have always known this was something that would be important to do but this one came about out of dire need.
The need?
The fact that Brady started telling me that he only loved Daddy :(. Now I realize he is 2 and he doesn't mean that but, come on, that is still gonna break a Mama's heart! Ever since Hadley was born Brady definitely has spent more time with Craig just because he drops and picks him up from daycare everyday. It even got to the point where Brady wouldn't let me do anything for him..get him a snack, get him a drink, read books to him, nothing! Only Daddy.
So, one on one time it was!
Craig took Chase to Water World and I took Brady to the outdoor mall by us for a day of fun.
First stop...Monkey Bizness

We shared a piece of pizza for lunch and then rode the train
After the train Brady wanted to run through the water fountains. Since I had extra clothes in case of a potty accident I told him to go for it :)
We changed into dry clothes and got some frozen yogurt. Brady still doesn't like sweets but he decided he liked vanilla a little bit so he ate a tester cup full of yogurt - lol!
We ended the day with a haircut that he decided he wanted :) I think he just likes the train table you get to play with while waiting.
This day was exactly what Brady and I both needed! He needed some Mama time and I definitely needed some time to bond with my little man. We seriously had THE BEST day together and he was like a different kid. He was sooooo sweet all day, listened perfecly all day, opened every single door for me, never ran off, was patient and just loving and kind the whole time. He didn't whine one time and I didn't have to disipline him at all - it was perfect. He even sat still in a nursing room at the mall for 15 minutes while I fed Hadley - amazing. It has always been tough to get alone time with Brady since he is a second child and Chase is usually around as well. This day reminded me how important it is to get that one on one time with each child so that you can get to know their personalities and get to know them better. And even better? By the end of the day Brady kept telling me "I love you ALLL the times Mama!" That is his favorite thing to say to me ever since that day and we also have our game where we say "I love you more" back and forth to eachother. It has been a complete 180 since that day and I feel a special connection with all my kiddos again - whew!
Craig had a
blast with Chase as well and he needed that time with just Chase. He
said Chase was an angel all day and they made some great memories
together :)
Oh, and her? Yea she was with us :) Such an easy and sweet baby!
