Fast forward to this past summer. I knew Chase loved to play and I decided to create a comfortable environment for him. What does this mean? Well it means Mama made sure all 9 players were friends of his from school, our neighborhood, cousins, etc and it meant Daddy got to be the coach :)
Craig was totally up for the challenge and loves coaching the kids. We ended up having Chase, Ashlyn & Carson plus we had Cooper & Sam from his class, Lexie & Brayden from the neighborhood and Blake & Brooklyn, who are our college friends kids.
Did it work? YES!!! It was so amazing and all of the kids had an absolute ball! At Chase's age they have one hour every Saturday where they practice for 30 minutes and then they play a game for 30 minutes. We had a great time as parents and the kids loved playing together and they were really GOOD!
Here are some photos from throughout the season:
Brett helped as assistant coach throughout the season too!
Look at him go!
Craig talking some strategy :) In all seriousness though I was so impressed with Craig's coaching! I knew he would be good but he was beyond good...just wonderful working with all the kids. He is patient, positive and has so much fun with them. So proud of my coaching hubby!

Soccer buddies! It was so neat to have the 3 cousins on the team together :)

After our last game - we planned an end-of-the-season party at a park by our house. We had pizza, Julie made an AMAZING cupcake cake and the kids got their medals from the season!
Great season Rams!!
We originally were not going to do the fall season because we thought it would conflict with CSU football but all of the parents kept asking us. Then Craig realized all the home games for CSU are at 5pm so it would work! This is a short season with just 6 games but we have all but 2 of the same players. We lost Cooper and Brooklyn due to other activities but picked up Jackson (Blake's best friend) and Jonah (Brayden's cousin). They kids are loving it once again and playing so great together!!!
