Virginia Beach

Christmas of 2009 Craig's parents gave all of us kids and grandkids a great present... a week's stay in a Virginia Beach beach house! Yes I said 2009! So you can imagine how excited we were when this week was finally upon us! All 17 of us headed to our amazing house on the sand and enjoyed a week of amazing weather, tons of swimming, fun theme nights and lots of great memories. I took a million pictures so here is our trip in photos...

In DIA so excited to head to the beach (there were 16 of us all on one flight!)

All 8 kiddos wearing their CSU gear so we could keep track of everyone!

Ready to start our journey

Our whole group...

Brady is just about to give in to sleep - lol :)

3 cute 3 year olds! Keeping each other entertained...

Keeping Brady smiling :)

We made it!!

Hmmm - now what?! 16 people's luggage means we need more than a few carts - haha!

Daddy & Brady checking out our home for the next week!

Checking out the tiki hut bar

We immediately dug the kids bathing suits out of their suitcases so they could run to the beach! They were having a ball!

Our house - umm amazing!!

After the long trip out there the kids were ready for pizza and a movie before bed

Brady & Papa enjoying our first day in the sun

Toddler bartenders! They thought it was so fun to serve everyone drinks - not sure if we should be teaching them that but it was pretty darn cute :)

Digging never gets old

The kiddos having fun in one of their rooms...who doesn't love bunkbeds?!

Our first themed night - Hawaiian Night. Melissa & Brad hosted with a fun luau filled with rum drinks, kabobs, tropical fruit and a limbo contest :)

Look at this shark Melissa made out of a watermelon!

Twilight baseball game

Tuesday morning all the guys got up at sunrise and went to play some golf!

Chase was so interested in Jill painting Marae's nails

Some of the professional photos we took on the beach - it was SUPER windy but we still ended up with some cute pics

Grandma & Papa hosted "pirate night" and started off the festivities by making all the kids walk the plank :)

Then trying to "sink the boat"...

Brady's swimsuit modeling shots :) I was dying taking these photos - those eyes!

Blowing bubbles through a hoop - Brady's face was the target I guess :) Don't worry - no bubbles actually hit him!

All the little pirates...

More pirate games

Mexican Fiesta pool party the next day hosted by Craig & I! We had tequila shots with whistles and head shakes to start off the party, wore some sweet mustaches, ate yummy mexican food and ended with a pinata!

I can't take shots anymore - yuck!!

Cooking up a fiesta!

Thursday night we planned an adults only (with the exception of Brady) dinner to celebrate a belated 40th anniversary for Marvin & Carol. We also wanted a chance to spend time together without someone having to constantly run off to tend to a child :) We headed to an awesome restaurant called Chick's Oyster Bar. It was delicious food and the most amazing view ever! We sat on picnic tables with a gorgeous sunset view on the water.

Fun pool time!

Heading home...

What a perfect week!
