Christmas 2009!!

We had a wonderful white Christmas in our very own home this year!! We got up early and got started on cooking some food for brunch and waited for Chase to get up. I didn't know how he would react this year but his expression and reaction absolutely blew me away - he was sooo excited to see all his new toys and didn't quite know what to play with first - he ran around and went from one thing to another! We opened gifts and then got ready to have Brad, Melissa, Ty, Marvin, Carol, Austin, Drew & Carson over (and of course my Mom & Dad as well) for a big yummy brunch. We made homemade cinnamon rolls, my first attempt at quiche, turkey and pork sausage, homemade scones, hashbrown casserole and fruit salad (plus mimosas and bloody mary's) - it was so good! The rest of the day we played cards with the fam and then we headed over to Brad and Melissa'a for a beautiful and delicious Christmas dinner! It was such a great day and filled with lots of family, fun and laughs!

The train looked like this for about 3 hours and then Chase threw every piece on the floor.. hmm - well the box did say for ages 3 & up! JK - he has absolutely loved it since. We have it up in his play room now and he always wants you to go with him and he will pat the seat next to him for you to sit and build the track and the "town" with him - he loves it!
