Snow Days!

We had 2 snow days in a row due to the crazy weather we have been having. On the second day we had to pull out a Christmas gift we bought Chase a little early so we could keep him entertained indoors all day:) He loves it!





We did finally venture out later in the day to buy a sled and to let Chase get his first dose of snow - he was definitely dressed warm enough - ha ha!! Thanks Dani & Chris for letting us borrow Micah's snow clothes! Chase thought the snow was hilarious - he was cracking himself up putting his hands in it!

The Storm

So... 24 hours after my last post... here is how our yard looks now...


Yesterday...




We are in the middle of a "storm alert" and we LOVE it!!!! We have gotten 14 inches so far and it is still coming down! We got a snow day today and got to stay home - today was actually my favorite day since we have moved here - pure family time :) Here's a few pics of Craig working hard - he loves it :)

We have a yard!!

I came home after work today to a great surprise... our yard got put in today!!!!!!





It was dirt when we moved in and we have been looking forward to getting the sod layed down. Craig and his Dad did the edging and plastic covering for rock (you can't have any plants closer than 5 feet to the house here) last week so we were all ready! It got put in just in time because we are supposed to get a big snow storm tonight - which the landscaper actually said was good so that's a relief:) Our house looks much more complete - we just can't go on it for 3 weeks - ha ha! Chase is dying to get his toes on that green grass!

Phantom Ghost

Tonight we were getting ready for dinner and heard our doorbell ring... who could it be at 7:30 at night on a Sunday (we eat late)..... Craig went to answer the door and this is what he found...



What is this Phantom Ghost? Good question! We were left a Happy Halloween gift bag with the ghost stapled to the front and underneath the following poem....


I was soo excited to get this gift bag - how cute of an idea is that??!! Craig thought I was completely crazy with how excited I was - even more so when he saw me taking all kinds of pictures of it :0) I guess to me it means more than just the "Phantom Ghost".. We have been apartment living the last 6 years together and have always dreamed of owning a home of our own one day and living in a neighborhood that would be a great environment for Chase. This treat on our doorstep tonight made me realize how far we had come and how blessed I feel to finally have our home!

Thanks neighbor.. we will be sure to pass the Phantom Ghost along tomorrow night....

Daddy's New BBQ

Craig got his housewarming gift to himself today... a new grill! We moved ours all the way to Colorado and the first night we were in our new house the wind was strong and blew it over and it cracked! We love to BBQ so we have been in withdrawal the past few weeks :0) Craig and Chase worked hard on putting the new one together!

I don't know who is more excited.... (PS - check out the house across the street out the window - I can't believe how quick it is going up! It was a dirt lot when we moved in)

We broke in our grill after they were done with yummy hamburgers (and a turkey burger for Mama) - it works great!

Chase's 1st CSU Game!

Chase went to his very 1st CSU football game today! We planned on taking him to the Homecoming game 2 weeks ago but it decided to be 20 degrees outside so we left him at home. Today ended up being gorgeous until the second half and then it got a little chilly! Chase had a great time tailgating, cheering for the Rams and playing with his cousins, Grandma & Papa and all our friends!

Halloween Surprise!

We went out to get the mail the other day and had a fun package addressed to Chase waiting for us! He was sooo excited to open his Halloween card and pajamas from Grandma & Grandpa T! Thank you!!!!

May Farms Pumpkin Patch

This year for our pumpkin patch trip we headed to May Farms. The farm is owned by my little sis from my sorority's family. Krista had her wedding there last month and after going we told our whole family about how beautiful it is. The put on a great Fall Festival and had all kinds of fun activities for the kids.. hay rides, train rides, face painting, a petting zoo, a corn maze and all kinds of pumpkins to choose from. We had a big group with Brad, Melissa, Jill, Don and all the kids.
