Hadley is 18 Months!

Sometimes she feels like my baby still, but sometimes she acts like a 13 year old teenager - lord help us!  Sweet Hads turned 18 months on January 10th and as fast as it has gone, I truly do not remember a life without her.

She continues to be the absolute light of all our lives and the boys are obsessed with her and take such good care of her.  She is a tough cookie and wrestles with the best of them and we love it - she is so blessed to have 2 big brothers!

18th month stats:
Weight: 20lbs 1.5oz (10-15th percentile)
Length:  31.75in (50th percentile)
Head: 46.6cm

She stole her baby doll's high chair and bib...

I will be the first to tell you that girls are just as big of troublemakers as boys!

EATING:
We took her bottle away and that was the end of milk :(  Hadley was our hardest one to take the bottle away from.  The boys had zero issues and we took them away, handed them sippie cups and no one blinked an eye.  With Hads it was a full scale meltdown and so incredibly sad.  Hence why she held onto the "baba" much longer than her brothers.  Craig and I finally stayed strong and threw them out but unfortunately she barely drinks milk now.  She eats cereal and drinks sips here and there but nothing near to what she was.  I was worried but the Dr confirmed that she gets enough calcium from other things so she is just fine.  She has definitely been our toddler that will try the most variety of foods and we have already gone through and survived my least favorite stage in the world...the throwing!  Oh my gosh, the throwing!  Every single one of them went through this - they will be done eating and just start throwing food like crazy.  She is finally pretty much past that one, thank goodness!  Her favorite foods are yogurt, eggs, mac and cheese, grapes, cereal and pasta.  She has a sweet tooth too, wow!  She can say, "chocolate" as clear as a bell and she loves when you give her a little scoop of ice cream :)  And water, water, water...spend a day with her and you will go through at least 5-6 different cups.  She always has to have "wa-wa" and she gets bored with her cup after about an hour.  Fun times for the dishwasher in our house...

Hads has fed herself since a really early age but it is funny to have other people watch her and be super impressed with her motor skills of using forks and spoons.  We are used to it, but she does do an amazing job :)

SLEEPING:
Hads sleeps great!  She takes one long nap in the middle of the day ranging anywhere from 2-3 1/2 hours.  At night, she goes to sleep at 7:30pm, we read about 12 (or more books) and she goes right to sleep.  She sleeps through the night and usually wakes up around 6am.  She will randomly toss in the middle of the night but she goes right back to sleep.  We still use her sound machine for the white noise - it was our savior with her.

OTHER:
Hads is incredibly independent, wants to do everything herself and knows exactly what she wants :) She is also a major love bug and loves giving kisses all the time.  She says "thank you" after everything and it is the cutest thing in the world.  Every time you hand her something you will hear it :)  She talks incredibly well - she is a complete chatter box and although we are probably the only ones that understand 75% of what she says, she communicates amazingly well with us and it is so much fun.  Every morning as soon as she wakes up she looks at me and says "Brady?" "Chase?" Melt.....

Say Cheese!

Oh the piggies, I can't get enough of them!!

I am so sad sometimes that our baby days are over, but a world full of older kids and all the fun activities and adventure that goes along with them is a new phase we are all really excited about!
