Sledding Fun

We've had a couple great sledding days already this year!  We love getting bundled up, flying down the hill for an hour and a half and coming home, leaving a giant pile of ski clothes next to the laundry room and making hot chocolate in our warm house - it's the best!

December 27th

This hill is 30 seconds away from us and the absolutely perfect sledding hill!

She loved it!

They made it down a few times like this and had a blast!  We did a full family ride a couple times by tying a few sleds together - we were all dying laughing at the bottom

January 1st
Such a perfect way to spend the start to 2015!

December Memories

Remembering some fond December moments...

Chase brought this home from school and I was dying, guess Hawaii was good for his soul

Hadley all bundled up a week after coming home from Maui...no more swimsuits for awhile

Hads enjoying our Christmas geotrax train

The boys decided they wanted to sleep together a couple nights in a row

Lots of Christmas baking...special deliveries to neighbors, teachers and after school program directors

Hadley apologizing and giving a kiss to an elf on our ladder one morning before school after she was playing a little too rough with him ;)

Craig and I ready for a night of adult fun at our neighbors Ugly Sweater white elephant party - it was a blast!

Chase's classroom Polar Express party on his last day before break

Some fun with our elf....I didn't get pictures of any others but we had some fun with him this year.  He built a snowman out of 3 rolls of toilet paper, went fishing and brought the kids some small gifts along the way!

Lunch and some last Christmas shopping on one of his days of Christmas break...love one on one time with my kiddos!

He was posing like a manikan!

Craig and I's wrapping party!  We waited until the kids went to bed, grabbed some egg nog, popped in Christmas Vacation and had a blast wrapping all the kids gifts together in our room

I surprised Craig on Dec 23rd and hired a babysitter and got reservations for dinner downtown!  We headed out for a night to enjoy the Christmas season together.  We used to have a tradition, pre kids, of always going out for one nice night at Christmas.  In San Diego, we always did the Hotel Del, then when Chase was a baby we made it out to the Montage but the last few years it has gotten harder and harder to make it happen.  It was so fun to get a chance to head downtown and enjoy the magic of the season.  We had drinks at the new Union Station and then headed to Larimer Square for dinner.  Glad we made it happen and love our babysitter for giving us a night so close to the holidays!

Chase & I took Brady to see his first movie in the theater!  We saw Penguins of Madagascar and he did great!

Brady's 4th Birthday!

Our Brady Bear is 4...oh how oh how did that happen?  It actually makes me sad to not say 3 year old anymore but...such is life!

All I have heard about for probably the last 6 months is how he wanted a blue elephant cake!  He also wanted a swimming party but thank goodness we talked him out of that for a Dec 27th party.  Here is my blue elephant masterpiece, sprinkles a la Chase & Brady :)

We celebrated at Jump City and because of the party landing just a few days after Christmas, you would have thought we rented the place out!  It was actually nice to have the kids run around and jump on tramps without it being insanely crowded.  Brady had a great time with his friends and had a smile on his face the whole time!

Perfecting his somersault

Hads getting in on the jumping action

The wind tunnel is always a big hit

Pizza and cake time

That smile....

On Brady's actual December 30th birthday, I took all 3 kiddos to the aquarium, one of Brady's absolute favorite places to go!  It was literally 3 degrees but we did it!
(then I went to the Dr later that day and got diagnosed with bronchitis and the start of pneumonia - lovely - sorry aquarium goers!)

The mermaid show is always a hit

That night Brady opened presents from the family and we had Batman blue cupcakes that he chose

Yup - pretty much the most excited kid in the world over a $5 gumball machine from Grandma & Papa

Dinosaur from Aunt Christine & Uncle Jim - he still sleeps with this every night

His playdoh buzzsaw that he had seen on a commercial and had been talking about for over a month

"Hey Brady - will you take a birthday picture with Mommy?"
Not sure which one is worse - haa!
