One of my favorite things about living in Colorado is the seasons! We have amazing summers, the snow is fun in the winter and our fall just can't be beat! There are a few weeks in the fall when the mountains are absolutely stunning so this year we headed up to hike to enjoy the beauty.
We found a hike about an hour away near Nederland that said it was kid friendly. Well, it was kid friendly if your kids are athletic, lol! Thank goodness we have outdoor loving kids because it was about a 3 mile hike and pretty steep in some parts. They were troopers though and after bribing them with ice cream, we made it to the top where we spent time at "Lost Lake." Going back down was a breeze (oh besides losing Hadley's paci and Craig had to run a quarter of a mile back up the hill to find it - haha!)
Seriously though, I absolutely LOVE hiking with the kids and hope we are creating amazing outdoor memories for them!
