V-Day Prep

Valentine's Day has become a MILLION times better with kids and it is so fun to watch their excitement over a simple little holiday :)  I will say it is still A LOT of work for Mama's and lots of planning to get Valentine's done for school, daycare and little gifts for their teachers.

I am very proud of myself because I did not fall into the trap of "trying to impress other Mom's" this Valentines and I bought the kids Valentines knowing what they would like instead.  For Kindergarten, Chase has to write all of his Valentines himself so my main goal was to find something that gave him plenty of room to write :)  These boxes of candy hearts was perfect! His teacher wanted their Valentine's a week in advance which was actually kind of a blessing because it was one thing out of the way.

I was SOOOOO impressed with Chase this year.  His teacher sent home a list of the kids first and last names and he sat down and did all of them without any help from us.  He looked at the list, filled out each box and crossed out the names as he went.  He even has 2 Savannah's in his class so he added their last names.  Chase has always amazed me with how beautiful and neat his handwriting is and how much he loves homework and working on things like this...

If you know Brady....was there any way I could pass up these Valentines??  Lol!  My Brady bear is a salt freak and hates chocolate and most candy so I couldn't think of anything better :)

The best was his reaction....I brought them home from the store and he freaked out - he was so excited!  He said, " Oh thank you Mommy!  That was so sweet of you!!!"  Melt my heart - homerun!!!!

Treats for Chase's teacher, Brady's teachers, the director of our daycare and Chase's after school program directors!  Ok, this was me sucking up a little ;)
