On Dec 1st, the whole Hoelting clan headed to Georgetown to ride the Loop Railroad. It was Marvin's birthday so we surprised him by showing up at the train depot. This was also our Christmas kick-ff since this train had a special visitor onboard...Santa!! The kids were so excited to get to ride a train AND to see Santa!!

We got so lucky when we boarded because, since we have such a large group, we got our own car in the train! It was like our own private train!

Santa let all the kids take a turn on his lap, telling him what presents they wanted. Then he gave each one of them a bell to remember their trip!

After an hour, we were back at the train depot. This was seriously one of the cutest Santa visits I have been a part of...just so unique and fun!

After the train, we all headed into the town of Georgetown to go to dinner together. On our way to the restaurant we enjoyed seeing all the decorations of the cute Main Street!

There was a stage set up in Main Street for music, but it was abandoned for a little bit, so Don went up and wished Marvin a Happy Birthday over the loud speaker! Brady was like, "What are you doing?" Lol
For dinner we went to this super cute Mexican restaurant and we ate down in the "cave" type basement. It looked like an old Irish pub and we had it all to ourselves! It was a whole day/night of private rooms, lol, I think we may scare people away :)

Such a great Christmas kickoff and birthday celebration! I would highly recommend the Santa train in Georgetown to anyone needing a little Christmas spirit!!
