Guess Who Got Another Haircut...

... and he's pretty excited about it! He keeps touching his head and telling people "Daddy gave me haircut." Plus he is dying to show his cousin Ben his new haircut - he keeps saying "I show Ben!" He can't wait to see his cousin in a week and a half :)

CSU vs Idaho

Saturday we made our way up to Fort Collins to watch the Rams in their opening home game against Idaho! We took Chase and Craig's Dad decided to join at the last second. I'm sure he's glad he did because WHAT A GAME!!!

Before the game we took Chase to the Alumni area where they do a GREAT job of having all kinds of activities for the kids. They have games where you punt footballs, throw footballs, a jump castle, a maze and this slide down below. Craig had to help carry Chase up the stairs just so he wouldn't hold the line of kids up....

Here they are coming down - my stupid memory card was full so I had to delete some pictures real quick so missed getting a really good shot. Oh well - you get the idea :)

We also got a chance to meet Cam the Ram and have a picture taken with him.. Chase loved saying "Cam" and "Go Rams!"

A few more cute pictures at the tailgate...

After all the tailgate fun we headed into the game and sat in the best seats ever!! Katie's parents friends have season tickets but couldn't come and we bought their tickets. They were 8th row on about the 40 yard line - so fun!

I have to say after the Rams first 3 games I was a little (ok a lot hesitant) that they could pull out a win but they did it!! They played such an exciting game against Idaho and we ended up winning 36-34 with a game winning field goal with 2 seconds left!!! Chase absolutely loved the game and did so great. He sat with us the entire game without getting up - cheered his little heart out, got so excited when the crowd would go wild and even fell alseep for about 30 minutes on Papa's lap in the middle of all the loud cheering :)

Great job Rams - thanks for a fun and exciting game! Let's get a few more wins this season!

25 Week Belly Bump Shot

I took a self-timer picture of my growing belly in my hotel a few days ago - not exactly a glamour shot but you get the idea :)

BIG Ultrasound for Baby H

A few weeks ago we had our BIG ultrasound for Baby H where they check all the anatomy and also when you can find out the sex. This ultrasound always makes me a little nervous because you just pray that every tiny organ and fragile piece of your baby's body is developing properly and that they look healthy. We had a GREAT appointment and our little Peanut looks perfect! Everything is developing the way it should be, baby is a good size (just over a pound), my placenta is in the perfect spot for a C-section. This baby is SUPER active and was giving the ultrasound tech a little bit of a hard time - uh oh - I was hoping we might get a slightly calmer child this time around but looks like that may not be the case - ha ha!

We kept to our decision to not find out the sex - although I will say now that the Dr's know it is tough because "someone" knows! Even Craig was like "well, that's kind of annoying that you know now" - ha ha!! It actually is making it more exciting this time around. I would love to get a room ready but I know I will be able to do it afterwards and keeping this a secret makes the second time around still have a lot of excitement for us :)

Here are some pictures of our sweet Baby (sorry they aren't the best but you get the idea.)

Take Me Out To The Ballgame...!

On Monday night we headed to another Rockies game with Chase! He just loves going and we have made some great memories spending summer nights watching "the nation's greatest pasttime", playing at the playground, eating hot dogs and ice cream and cheering on our Rockies!

We got to go to the game with Tricia, Chris, Landon, John, Nicki & Laura. Chase and Landon had so much fun running around together, chasing each other and playing hide & seek behind every pole they could find! We ended up losing to the Padres that night but sometimes it's not whether you win or lose - it's about how many good memories you make :)

When we first got to the game we went over to watch the pitchers warm up in the bullpen. We got to see about 10 minutes before they finished up. They noticed Chase watching (more like staring - he is seriously obsessed - I don't think he blinked!) so they threw a ball they were using up to him when they were done! It was sooo COOL! Craig & I might have even been more excited than Chase but he still thought it was pretty amazing!

GO ROCKIES!!

Family Picnic

Sunday we headed down to Castle Rock to enjoy an afternoon picnic with extended family on Craig's Dad's side. It was a beautiful day and the park we met at was perfect. It had a picnic area, HUGE playground, horseshoe pits and a big grass field for flying kites and playing football!

I didn't get many pictures but I caught just a couple of the cousins playing together!

Chase, Morgan, Carson & Drew. Chase and Morgan are only 6 days apart so it was so fun to see how big they have both gotten. The last time we saw them was in Texas when they were only 6 weeks old....

(Flashback to when Chase & Morgan were just 6 weeks!)

Brooks & Andrea's Wedding!

We went to Brooks & Andrea's wedding this past Saturday up in beautiful Red Feather Lakes. Craig & I decided to make a day of it and dropped Chase off at Grandma & Papa's early in the morning and headed to Fort Collins. We had breakfast at our favorite spot - The Silver Grill - yum yum! I didn't get any pictures but we split their yogurt, granola & fruit parfait and each had a side of Cinnamon Roll Toast (their specialty which is to die for!) We headed to the book store for some new gear - shirts and THANK GOODNESS - a new hat for Craig... anyone who knows what I am talking about I'm sure you are laughing and are relieved that we may have found a replacement for the piece of fabric he was wearing on his head for years and calling a "hat." (Love you hon if you are reading this :) ) Lastly we walked around campus and checked out the newly renovated rec center - it is so nice. It's crazy to see how much has changed since we graduated 6 years ago.

After our trip down memory lane we headed up to the wedding. It was a beautiful day set in a gorgeous background at Brooks' family cabin in the mountains. Brooks & Andrea got married outdoors and then the rest of the afternoon we just hung out together playing horseshoes, eating and sharing lots of laughs and old memories with an amazing group of friends. By the end of the day my cheeks were seriously hurting from laughing so much - you know it's a good day when your cheeks hurt!

Wow, that's heavy.. taking a break!

Tricia kicking it up a notch and bringing out shots for everyone - I was very happy to be pregnant at that moment... warm vodka wasn't really sounding the best!

Cheers to Brooks & Andrea!

After the wedding we decided to go to a restaurant in town (there is 1 so it was a pretty easy choice - ha ha!) We headed to the Pot Belly Deli for some dinner and much to our excitement there was karaoke - sweet! We had a few hours of fun singing and dancing with the locals!

We ended the night by heading to the cabin we all rented - and after a long, confusing dirt road drive in the dark - we made it to our GORGEOUS place! The cabin was beautiful and we had a fun night playing games and sharing more laughs.

Congrats Brooks & Andrea - we wish you a life full of happiness!

Fresh Salsa Anyone?

Craig & I can't wait to whip up these ingredients fresh from our garden into some fresh salsa... yum yum! All our tomatoes are coming in - having a garden has been so much fun this year!

Labor Day Fun!

On Sunday we had an impromptu get together at our house with the whole family. Jill & Don brought their blow up water slide/slip & slide and the kids had a ball! Chase was too scared to try it at first but we finally put him on it and from there he was unstoppable. He LOVED it and wanted to go again and again!! What a fun day - those unplanned times are always the best :)

CSU vs CU Rocky Mountain Showdown

The time of year came again... the annual CSU vs CU rivalry football game! We anticipate, dream of winning and (for Craig) lay awake the night before as if it is Christmas Eve!

This rivalry runs deep and this game is definitely a little intense between the 2 schools. Unfortunately we ended up getting killed this year and it was actually a really boring game.. BUT - we still know how to tailgate :)

Chase stayed home with a babysitter but he helped Daddy pack the cooler and played a little catch before we left!

Well, last year we won this game and had a terrible rest of the season so maybe this lost means we will do better the rest of the season..... Hey it's a good thought! :)
