Two Peas in a Pod

Chase & Carson hung out the other night with their Dad's while us Mama's got together for a jewelry party. We got some cute pictures of the 2 little guys in their matching CSU sweatshirts eating some popcorn together... I see many years of mischief together in their future:)

18 MONTHS OLD!!!

Holy cow - I have a 1 1/2 year old!! I don't care how many times people tell you it will go fast - you still don't believe it until it happens to you :) Chase turned 18 months old on Nov 21 and went to the Dr for a check up so we have some stats to report...
Height: 34" - 75 percentile
Weight: 25lbs 3oz - 25-50 percentile
Head: 19 3/8 in - 75-90 percentile

Chase is a very happy and healthy 18 month old and he showed off all his skills to the Dr like showing her his belly button, his ears and his nose. He also blew her a kiss!

Poor little man had to get 2 shots and we had his worst reaction yet. He usually acts lethargic after shots but this time he got a fever all night and even the next day and he was super lethargic and just layed in our arms for hours....for anyone that knows us well you know how unusual that is :) He is fine now though - it's tough growing up!

Chase talks up a storm - some of his favorite words are:
Mama, Dad, bath, wa-wa(water), duck, hippo, ball, hi, bye, car, choo-choo, dog, no, milk, and our favorite..."More". He says More like a little english child - I will try to get it on tape!

He understands so much and amazes us everyday with how much he absorbs and understands the world around him. He is not short on energy and keeps us in motion 24 hours a day:) We love our almost toddler!!! Happy 1 1/2 Birthday Chase!

It's Beginning To Look a Lot Like Christmas!!!

We decided to start decorating for Christmas last weekend and it has been soo much fun! We put up all our decorations (2 boxes- ha ha! ) and then have been collecting more stuff throughout the week. Our poor tree looked HUGE in our apartment but now looks Charlie Brownish so I think we are going to put this one upstairs and get a big real tree for our 1st Christmas in our house!! I was sooo excited to have a staircase to put garland on this year - take a look....

Family Beach Photos

This post is really late but back in August we got some professional photos taken in Laguna Beach. We ended up getting some really great photos that I just love!!! Out of the tons of pictures taken - these are the ones we bought. The clarity is fuzzy since these are scanned in but you get the idea:)

Baby Recliner

Craig & I have been busy buying furniture for our new house and our most recent purchase were some brown leather couches. Naturally, Chase loves to climb all over them so we decided we needed to find him his own chair to climb all over... look what I found!!!! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this find - thank you Big Lots :) Chase LOVES his very own little recliner and is so proud of himself when he sits in there!

Swimming in the Snow!

Sunday we wanted to get out and do something but with the snow everywhere they weren't too many options...Craig came up with a great idea to go do one of Chase's favorite activities - swimming! We headed over to the Thornton rec center and joined as residents and headed to the pool! Chase loved being back in the water. They have one section that gets deep slowly like a beach and then another section that has a crab as a kiddie slide and has a current that takes you around in circles. It was so weird to be swimming and warm and look outside the glass and see snow everywhere! We will definitely be going back!

Yummy Snow!

I was in Seattle this week and looking through pictures of Chase (of course - I've gotta get my fix :) ) and found these pictures that I completely forgot Craig & I took! When we had the snow storm a few weeks ago I went out and got a bowl of fresh snow and Craig put some vanilla extract on it and we gave it to Chase as a treat (it is yummy if you haven't tried it!). Here are some pictures of his first taste of snow!!

Happy Halloween!

We started Halloween morning with brunch at our house so all the cousins could take pictures together in their costumes. We also turned it into a surprise "Happy Retirement" party for Marvin & Carol since they are selling their UPS store! Here are some pics from the brunch...

After the brunch we watched the horrible loss by the CSU rams and then got ready to trick-or-treating! Some family pics before we headed out....


We trick-or-treated a few houses in our neighborhood to say Hi to the neighbors we have met so far and then we headed over to Brad & Melissa's neighborhood to spend the rest of the night with them. Chase did such a GREAT job this year - he understood the concept to go to the door and he would get candy....In one case he even tried to trade his candy with a home owner - see the video below(it's dark but you get the point) - too funny!

Sledding

We took Chase sledding for the 1st time on Friday!

He had fun but he kept taking his gloves off... so once his hands were freezing it was time to go :)
