When your friend is a firefighter...

...you get to go visit a real firehouse with an exclusive tour!

One of our best friend's from college, Brett, finally became a firefighter in North Denver after trying for years (look into how hard it is to become one, it is crazy.  I think this year they have 7,000 applicants for 1 position!)  We are so proud of his perseverance and now we get to enjoy his success with him, lol!

We headed over to his firehouse and spent about an hour and a half looking at all 3 trucks, going on a tour of the house itself, talking to the other firefighters in their kitchen and checking out the workout facilities.  We brought the firemen some banana bread and coffee cake and in return they gave the kiddos firehats, coloring books and stickers!

As you can imagine, Brady had just a "few" questions for Brett!

For some reason on this particular day Hads was deathly afraid of trucks and wouldn't go near them (who knows, I can't explain these things, they just happen and you go with it!)  So she sat outside on the driveway eating snacks until we went inside.

Thank you Brett for such a great experience and memory for our kiddos!

Snow Fight!

President's Day brought us a big, cold snowstorm!
I was off work with all 3 littles and while Hads was sleeping the boys and I played out back, tried to build a snowman (fail...snow was too dry), had a little snowball fight (which ended in a real fight of course) and I brought out maple syrup that they pour on fresh clean snow and they ate "maple snowcones" out of the palm of their hands!
Although we do miss CA, it is so fun to create these winter memories with my kids and makes me thankful to live in CO where we get to experience the fun of all 4 seasons...

Annual Mardi Gras Party!

Our family has a tradition of getting together to celebrate Mardi Gras every year, not really for any other reason than it is a good excuse to hang out and it is fun to dress up and do treasure hunts and eat king cake!

Last year we had the baby from the king cake in our slice of cake so Craig & I were supposed to host (google king cake tradition if that made no sense to you!) but Jill & Don decided to take it off our hands and combo it with their housewarming party.  This was our first opportunity to see their new house and it is just beautiful!!

Ready to go upstairs for a gold coin treasure hunt!

King cake time!

Love Day

Valentine's Day has been so much more fun since we have had kids!
Kids kick every holiday up a notch and it is so fun to share their excitement, celebrations and the joy they get over all the fun that goes along with the day :)

Care package full of jammies, books, stuffed animals and treats from Grandma & Papa T!

Chase working hard on his school Valentine's, I didn't help him at all!
He did such an awesome job :)

School parties!

All ready to surprise the kids!

Craig and the kiddos went to the store Valentine's morning and they walked back in one by one and each gave me a hug and their own bouquet of flowers they picked out.....talk about melting a Mama!  I am a lucky girl with 4 very special Valentine's!

We got lucky with a GORGEOUS Feb day!

We ended the night with our Valentine's dessert tradition of chocolate fondue!

This girl is a chocoholic!!!  The picture is blurry because I was laughing so hard because she was attacking Craig's chocolate strawberry!

She takes after this kid..... Brady on the other hand wanted nothing to do with it ;)  He ate a plain pretzel, haa!
